Dropping some wisdom about lubricants.

The age old question.... Can you use silicone lube with your silicone toys? Well liquid silicone and a solid silicon can bond together causing  peeling filmy build up. We recommend doing a spot test on your toy. As confusing as it sounds some silicone toys and some silicone lubes can be used together without bonding. Most hybrid lubes (part silicon part water based) do not contain enough silicone to cause this problem. The molecules in silicone lubes are too big for your body to absorb which keeps this lube super slick and never tacky (sexy science tip). Silicone lube never dries out, has no taste and is completely waterproof but it can be more difficult to clean up.

Water based lubricants are the more popular choice, they are a lot cheaper compared to silicone and is safe to use on all toy materials. It's easy for clean up. If your lube has dried up and becomes tacky a good trick of the trade is to add a few drops of water, it will reactivate those ingredients. Do not add more lube it will create more tackiness. The one offender in lubricant is the ingredient glycerin. Glycerin is basically a sugar or sugar alcohol that can upset the pH balance of the vagina leading to yeast infections or irritation. If you are prone to yeast infections it is recommended choosing a glycerin free lube such as Sliquid, Hathor, or Intimate Organics all available at The Boutique.

Both silicon and water based lubricants are condom compatible (polyurethane or latex)

Oil based lubes are not recommended for internal use but are great for hand jobs. They are not compatible with any form of latex birth control: condoms, diaphragms of cervical caps.

Buying lube is kind of like buying shampoo it's going to react to everyone's body differently you may have to try a few different kinds before you find the right one that works for you.

Also on display will be Martin's boudoir so you can get the full spectrum of his talents.  We would love to host a shibari workshop at The Boutique space is limited to 8 couples.(no singles allowed) The cost is 60.00 for the couple plus an additional $13.00 for the shears and rope the class should run about 3 hours and will be hosted by Martin Kolbus..
